Henry Tarver, 80, of Columbus, MS, passed away on December 12, 2025, at his residence.

The visitation will be Tuesday, December 16, 2025, from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. The funeral service will follow at the funeral home at 2:00 P.M. with Bro. Byron Benson and Bro. Mel Howton officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens, Columbus, MS. Lowndes Funeral Home entrusted with all arrangements.

Mr. Tarver was born on March 6, 1945, in Holly Ridge, Louisiana to the late Henry Frank Tarver and Laura Edna Centers Tarver. He was a Veteran, after serving in the U.S Navy. He worked as an Electrical Maintenance Technician for International Paper and Weyerhaeuser. Mr. Tarver was a member of New Salem Baptist Church in Caledonia and loved gardening, growing flowers, fishing, reading, and music.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Tarver is preceded in death by his brothers, Jimmy Tarver and Billy Joe Tarver.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Vicki Tarver; daughter, Kelley (Sedgie) Bond; sister, Evelyn Langstaff; and numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.

Pallbearers will be Sedgie Bond, Chris Sullivan, Eddie Welch, Eddie Rushing, Ronnie Pennington and Damon Beasley.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Pearley Freeman, Stuart Kinard and Matt Moehring.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the special team of angels who took care of Mr. Tarver with love and care: Madison, Jordan, Tammy, Shannon, Gayle, Regina, and Bro. Mordecai.
