WEST POINT  — Henry Lee Jefferson, 71, died Dec. 19, 2025, in Cedar Bluff. 

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, at Hopewell M.B. Church in Cedar Bluff, with Kelly Martin officiating.  Burial will follow in Hopewell Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4-5 p.m. Friday, at Carter’s Mortuary Services. Carter’s Mortuary Services of West Point is in charge of arrangements. 

Mr. Jefferson was born Jan. 1, 1954, in Pheba, to the late Ananias Jefferson and Jersie Myles Jefferson. He was formerly employed at Bryan Foods. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Hubert Jefferson and Norman Jefferson. 

He is survived by his wife, Betty Taylor Jefferson; son Jamie Bean; daughters, LeKisha Griffin and Latoria Jefferson; brothers, Nathaniel Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson, David Jefferson, Dean Jefferson, Calvin Jefferson and Marvin Jeggerson; sisters, Linda Avant and Icola Poe; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
