MACON — Helen Stapleton Richardson, 70, died Dec. 22, 2025, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. 

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at Cockrell Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Mashulaville Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Cockrell Funeral Home of Macon is in charge of arrangements. 

Mrs. Richardson was born Nov. 10, 1955, in Jacksonville, Florida, to the late Frank Marion and Mary Alice Patterson Stapleton. She was a graduate of Central Academy and was formerly employed as a butcher at Piggly Wiggly and as a phlebotomist at Macon Primary Clinic. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Doug Stapleton; and step-father, Ted Crabtree. 

She is survived by her husband, clause Richardson of Louisville; daughters, Beth Curvin of Kodak, Tennessee, and Amber Richardson of Louisville; sister, Christine Mullens of Baldwyn; step-sister, Diane Tiffin of Macon; brother, Randy Stapleton of Macon; step-brother, Rusty Crabtree of Cancleave; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
