NOXUBEE COUNTY— Helen J. Clay, 74, died June 10, 2026, at North Mississippi Medical Center-Tupelo.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, at Baldwyn United Methodist Church in Brooksville, with Loudaris Gardner officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-5 p.m. Friday, at Carter’s Funeral Services. Carter’s Funeral Services of Macon is in charge of arrangements.
Ms. Clay was born December 23, 1951, in Noxubee County, to the late Eddie Clay and Priscilla Clay. She was a member of Baldwyn United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Eddie Clay, Hattie Clay, Vastie Farmer, Bettie Lane, Russell Clay, Robert Clay and Johnnie Clay.
She is survived by her children, Mauriel Clay of Belleville, Illinois, Lakeisia Clay, Andrea Clay and Tiffany Clay, all of Brooksville and William Clay of Hattiesburg; siblings, Diane Stewart and Ruby Lane, both of Brooksville and James Clay of Cahokia, Illinois; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
