WAHALAK — Helen Thomas Cade, 92, died April 8, 2017, at her residence. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Cockrell Funeral Home Chapel in Macon with Walt Tessier and John Burks officiating. Burial will follow in Antioch Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Mrs. Cade was born Feb. 1, 1925, to the late James Cecil and Eva Persons Thomas. She graduated from high school in Scooba. She was previously employed as a teacher in Shuqualak and operated Cades Grocery. She was a member of Wahalak Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Cade; sister, Mary Agnes Stuart; and brothers, Malcom, Earl and Cecil Donald Thomas. She is survived by her son, Al Cade of Montgomery, Texas; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
