SHUQUALAK —Hal Lee Jenkins, 65, died April 15, 2013, at his residence. Services are Saturday at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Wahalak with Marcus Lawrence officiating. Burial will follow in Shuqualak Cemetery. Visitation is today from 1-5 p.m. at Lee-Sykes Funeral Home Chapel of Macon. Mr. Jenkins was born Sept. 4, 1947, to the late Lonnie and Idella Murray Jenkins. He was employed as a supervisor for Noxubee County Solid Waste. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Wahalak, a 1964 graduate of B.F. Liddell High School, a 1979 graduate of Mary Holmes College where he earned a degree in Science and he attended Mississippi State University. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and the Mississippi Army National Guard. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Mildred Cordelia Jenkins Butler and James Larry Jenkins. Survivors include his wife, Velma Hill of Shuqualak; daughter, Holli Lavette Jenkins Chandler; sons, Hal Vavelle and Lonnie Alonzo II; seven grandson and four grandchildren.
