LOWNDES COUNTY – Gregory “Black Boy” Roby, 46, died May 7, 2026, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle in Columbus. 

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, at New Vision School in Macon, with Tiryan Roby officiating. Visitation will be from 2-5 p.m. Friday, at Carter’s Funeral Services. Carter’s Funeral Services of Macon is in charge of arrangements. 

Mr. Roby was born April 8, 1980, in Noxubee County, to Jessie Roby and the late Larry Williams. 

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Rena Roby. 

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his siblings, Larry Roby of Brooksville, Terry Roby of Macon, Angela Belgrave of Macon and Tammy Sims of Columbus. 

Pallbearers will be Jacoby Edwards, DeWaymion Anderson, Deonte Bonds, Andrew Roby, Levonte Fox, Jr., Shaun Roby and Anthony Belgrave, Jr.
