COLUMBUS — Gregory Darnell Moody, 40, died May 21, 2026, in Columbus.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Sunday at Zion Gate M.B. Church, with James A. Boyd officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 1-5 p.m. Saturday at Carter’s Funeral Services. Carter’s Funeral Services of Columbus is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Moody was born June 6, 1985, in Columbus, to Shirley Moody Burr and Willie Hood Sr. He was a 2003 graduate of Columbus High School and was formerly employed with Garden Hill Assisted Living, Sprint Mart and Tronox.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Fredreco Moody, Willie Hood Jr. and Angela Hood.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his children, Lance Norris and Levell Molina, both of Junction City, Kansas, Makia Noland and Bella Moody, both of Columbus; and siblings, Eric  Bryant, Erica Bryant, Shawn Wells, Shane Wells and Sasha Wells, all of Columbus, and Lashanda Malone of Montgomery, Alabama.
