COLUMBUS — Grace Ann Washington, 71, died Sept. 13, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle. 

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, at Southside M.B. Church, with Rayfield Evins Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-5 p.m. Thursday, at Carter’s Funeral Services. Carter’s Funeral Services of Columbus is in charge of arrangements. 

Mrs. Washington was born Sept. 22, 1953, in Columbus, to the late Clinton Ervin and Beatrice Stringfellow Ervin. She was a member of Southside M.B. Church. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Inez Stringfellow Coleman, Eula B. Ervin Topps, John Henry Ervin and Jerome Ervin. 

She is survived by her brother, Heavy Charles Ervin; sisters, Gloria Jean Ervin Williams and Carol Ervin Hunter; step-children, Ivanell Washington and Lawrence Washington; and seven grandchildren.
