WEST POINT — Geraldine Hutchins Lee, 69, died Aug. 9, 2025, at North Mississippi Medical Center-West Point.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, at Union Star M.B. Church, with Gregory Pegues officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation is from 4-5 p.m. Friday at Carter’s Mortuary Services. Carter’s Mortuary Services of West Point is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Lee was born May 8, 1956, in Carthage, to the late Walter Luther Hutchins and Bonnie Lue Gates Hutchins. She was formerly employed as a school guidance counselor.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Denise Hutchins..

She is survived by her husband, Dr. Israel Lee of West Point; children, Chadrick Lee and Kara Jenise Lee, both of West Point; sister, Frances Jenell Hutchins-Whiteurst of Houston, Texas; and two grandchildren.
