BEAVERTON, Ala. — Geraldine Jones, 95, died July 29, 2025, at Generations of Vernon in Vernon, Alabama.

Funeral services are at 1 p.m. Thursday, at Otts Funeral Home Chapel, with James Godsey officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Hebron Cemetery. Visitation is one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Otts Funeral Home of Sulligent is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Jones was born June 7, 1930, in Jefferson County, to the late Abe Franklin Mixon and Minnie Lee Robertson. She was a 1948 graduate of Escambia County High School in Atmore and was a member of Celebration Worship Center Church in Crossville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Gibbs Jones.

She is survived by her children, Jeff Jones of Vernon, Veronica Jones of Tuscumbia, and Anita Diane Jones Vance of Clanton; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Casey Duckworth, Bradley Duckworth, Robert Duckworth, Clint Jones, Dillon Jones, and Mason Jones.
