ARTESIA — George B. Williams, 70, died June 15, 2026, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle. 

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, at Beulah Grove Full Gospel Baptist Church with Timothy Bourne officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. Friday, at Carter’s Funeral Services. Carter’s Funeral Services of Columbus is in charge of arrangements. 

Mr. Williams was born April 19, 1956, in Artesia, to the late Willie B. Williams and Emma Williams. He was formally employed with Lowndes County and Town of Artesia Public Works Department and he was a member of Beulah Full Gospel Baptist Church. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Carrie Williams, Clara Brewer Snell and Willie Mae Poe; and one grandchild. 

He is survived by his daughters, Yotashio Bailey of McCalla, Alabama and Kimberly Tobias of Jackson; brother, Willie Clay of Artesia; and four grandchildren. 

Pallbearers are Dominique Wilkins, Marko Williams, Maurice James, Malcolm Snell, Antonio Snell, Larrico Snell, Quantavis Snell and Rico McGee.
