COLUMBUS — Genet Sanders, 55, died Dec. 6, 2025, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson. 

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, at Bibleway Progressive Church of God In Christ, with Tommy Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Faith Harvest Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. Friday, at Carter’s Funeral Services. Carter’s Funeral Services of Columbus is in charge of arrangements. 

Mrs. Sanders was born Jan. 7, 1970, in Columbus, to Robert Lee Martin and the late Louella Sanders. She attended Caldwell High School and was a member of Bibleway Progressive Church of God In Christ.

In addition to her father, she is survived by her children, Deandrea Kyles, Jasmine Sanders, Carleeon Jones and Deforest Kyles Jr.; siblings, Cassie Sanders, Rosie Sanders, James Sanders, Carol Nash, Delois Hendricks, Tavares Sanders, Cedrick Sanders and Phines Sanders; and 17 grandchildren.
