MILLPORT, Ala. — Gene Lollar, 75, died April 13, 2026, at his residence.

Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Thursday, at Mt. Nebo Church, with Terry McAdams officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation is one hour prior to services at the church. Chandler Funeral Home of Vernon is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Lollar was born July 31, 1950, in Columbus, to the late Gayner and Verdeal Lollar. He was formerly employed as a painter and maintenance worker with Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Sherman Lollar, Mikey Lollar and Sandy Cook.

He is survived by his wife, Lauire Lollar of Millport; children, Corey Lollar, Kelsey Graves and Abby Lollar, all of Millport, Rhiannon Woodruff of Sulligent, and Lauren Putnam of Bellville, Illinois; siblings, Dennis Lollar, Joyce Gentry, Hazel Smith and Patsy Seals; and 14 grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Harold Partain, Matthew Morris, Ronnie Jaynes, Greg Wheat, Allen Pennington and Curt Morris.
