WEST POINT — Freddie Lee Coleman, 65, died Jan. 31, 2026, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, at Third Mt. Olive M.B. Church, with the Rev. Elbert Lee officiating.. Burial will follow at Lower Prairie Creek Cemetery in Woodland. Visitation is from 4-5 p.m. Friday at Carter’s Mortuary Services. Carter’s Mortuary Services of West Point is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Coleman was born Dec. 1, 1960, in West Point, to the late John C. Coleman and Mae Eunice Coleman He was a veteran of the Army National Guard and was formerly employed in the security industry.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, John A. Coleman; and stepbrother, Kenneth Cox.
He is survived by his wife, Hattie M. Coleman; sons, Xavier F. Seay of Lebanon, Tennessee, and Adrian L. Coleman of Washington, D.C.; step-sons, Ashley Vance, Nechitty Henderson, Frederick Henderson and Greg Henderson, all of West Point; siblings, Garry Coleman and Ricky Coleman, both of West Point, Shirley Robinson of Gallatin, Tennessee, Rosemary Coleman of Temple Hills, Maryland, and Hellen Harris of Jackson; stepbrother, Robert Stark of West Point; two grandchildren; 29 step-grandchildren; and 13 step-great-grandchildren.
