Frances Spann

WEST POINT — Frances Mae Spann, 76, died Feb. 22, 2026, at North Mississippi Medical Center in West Point.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, at Lower Prairie Creek M.B. Church in Pheba. Burial will follow at Watkins Cemetery in Woodland. Visitation will be from 4-5 p.m. Friday, at Carter’s Mortuary Services. Carter’s Mortuary Services of West Point is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Spann was born March 1, 1949, in Clay County, to the late William Thomas Eacholes and Fannie Mae Harrell.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Darrell Bernard Eacholes; and siblings, William Charles Eacholes, Junior Eacholes, Lemon Lewis Eacholes, Lola Tate and Gracie Mae Clark.
She is survived by her husband, John Early Spann; children, Timothy Howrad Eacholes, Kelvin Eacholes, Makesha Evette Shoemaker, Shyvonda Trinita Shoemaker and Shaminka Denise Shoemaker.
