Frances Pauline Beaird was welcomed into the arms of her Lord and Savior on July 18, 2026, at Noland Hospital DCH in Tuscaloosa, AL. She was surrounded by her family that loved and cared for her until the end.

Pauline was born to Calvin and Lila Robinson in Kosciusko, MS, on October 24, 1946. She lived and grew up in Kemper County residing in Dekalb, MS. She graduated from Dekalb High School.

Upon graduation she furthered her academic career by graduating from East Mississippi Junior College (EMCC) in Scooba, MS. Pauline then went on to Mississippi University for Women where she received her nursing degree.

Being an RN was a calling and a passion for her, as she loved to care for others and did it with a soft touch and loving heart. She spoke fondly of many of the patients she’s cared for through the years, as they did her.

On June 7, 1969, she married the love of her life, her soul mate, Keith Beaird, a loving bond that lasted earth side for 55 years, but still continued after his death in 2024.

Pauline’s nursing career began in Meridian, MS, eventually moving to Brookhaven, and Maben MS, until her and Keith settled in Noxubee County becoming lifelong residents in Macon before moving to Brooksville.

She was a familiar and comforting face at Noxubee General Hospital for many years and even continuing to work there after her and Keith moved to Columbus MS. Upon retiring from Noxubee General, she decided she missed the calling and went to work for Baptist Memorial Hospital, Golden Triangle. She remained there until her final retirement.

Pauline had a sweet and caring nature, who never met a stranger. She always saw the good in people and believed it was there. She greeted people with a big smile and warm hug. She battled breast cancer four times and did with grace, resilience and never a complaint. Even on the hardest days, she would simply say, “tomorrow is another day, it will get better”.

She leaves a legacy true to the person she was, and her faith in the Lord and her love for him will be one of the main things she leaves instilled in those that knew her. She wasa longtime member of Mt. Vernon Church in Columbus, MS, (New Hope) where she made lasting friendships and thoroughly enjoyed her Seniors’ small group.

Pauline is preceded in death by her parents, Calvin and Lila Robinson, her husband Keith Beaird.

She is survived by her children, Angela Howe (John), and Jason Beaird (Jessica); grandchildren, Chandler Craig (Jordan) of Memphis, TN, Brennan Beaird, Braiden Beaird and Brett Beaird all of Columbus, MS.; brother, Buddy Robinson of Dekalb, MS; sister, Mary Johnson of Shuqualak, MS; and a host of nieces and nephews that she loved as her own.

Special recognition to Tammie Brandon, you came to us as a stranger, quickly became a friend, but left as family.

Bobbie White and Cindy Hill, two of her closest cousins, who spent many hours with her, and always did what they could to help in any capacity.

Pallbearers will be, Jeff Chism, Chandler Craig, Jordan Hinders, John Howe, Kevin Robinson and Wesley White.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr. Wail Alnas, and the Baptist Cancer Center Nurses, and the Nurses of the Baptist Cancer Infusion Center.

Services will be Thursday, July 23, 2026, at Lowndes Funeral Home on Lehmberg Road. Visitation begins at 1:00 followed by a Chapel service at 2:00. Burial will follow immediately after at Memorial Gardens, Columbus.
