COLUMBUS — Ferlonzo Ferrikes Coats, 50, died April 10, 2026, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, at New Zion U.M. Church, with the Rev. Dwayne Robinson officiating. Burial will follow at New Prospect Cemetery. Visitation is from 1-5 p.m. Friday at Hairston and Hairston Funeral Homes. Hairston and Hairston Funeral Homes of Starkville is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Coats was born April 30, 1975, in Starkville, to Delois Coats and the late Arvid Coats. He was formerly employed as a meat cutter with Kroger.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Karen Coats; children, Ferlonzo Coats, Ethan Coats and Cameron Coats; sister, Audrionna Weatherby; and one grandchild.
