SULLIGENT, Ala. — Exie B. McReynolds, 93, died Nov. 30, 2010, at the Northwest Medical Center in Winfield, Ala. Services were Saturday at 12 p.m. at Victory Temple Church of God in Christ in Fayette, Ala. Burial followed in New Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery. Otts Funeral Home in Sulligent was in charge of arrangements. Mr. McReynolds was born July 16, 1917, in Fayette County, Ala., to the late Bert and Luberta Henry McReynolds. He was an active member of Turner Chapel CME in Mount Clemens, Mich., where he was a trustee and served in the Sunday school and finance committee. He also attended New Friendship Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Trannie Wilson McReynolds; son, Christopher McReynolds; stepson, John Herman Hackman; brothers, Troy, Roy, Marvin and Laney McReynolds; sisters, Muggie and Wynell Halls, Lina Hill and Hannah Walker. He is survived by his wife, Katerene Loftis McReynolds of Sulligent; brother, Grady McReynolds of Atlanta; sons, Wilbur McReynolds of St. Louis, Russell McReynolds of Lansing, Mich., and Lloyd McReynolds of Houston; daughter, Esther McReynolds of Houston; stepdaughters, Willetta Allman and Rosetta Craig, both of Sulligent; and Annie Gray of Chickamauga, Ga.; stepson, Willie J. Cribbs Jr. of Sulligent; 23 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, 11 stepgrandchildren and 14 stepgreat-grandchildren.
