COLUMBUS — Evelyn M. Walker, 76, died Nov. 21, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, at Military Chapel U.M. Church, with Antra Geeter officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery. Visitation is from 2-6 p.m. Friday at Carter’s Funeral Services. Carter’s Funeral Services of Columbus is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Walker was born March 29, 1949, in Steens, to the late Willie Lee Moore and Everlena Moore. She was a member of Military Chapel U.M. Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carnell Walker Sr.; and siblings, Jesse W. Moore and James Moore.

She is survived by her son, Carnell Walker Jr. of Columbus; siblings, Jimmy D. Porter and Norris L. Moore, both of Baltimore, Maryland, Georgetta Prowell, Willie G. Moore, Lula Williamson, Timothy W. Moore, Kathy Graham, Nedra Thomas and Johnny Moore, all of Columbus, and Anna M. Nash of Caledonia; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Pallbearers are RD Bradford, Valentino Bradford, Brian Gorham, Larry Brown, Michael Williamson and Devin Moore.
