NOXUBEE COUNTY — Ethan Gemar Young, 18, died Feb. 13, 2026. 

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, at Noxubee County High School Gymnasium, with Bernard Bowen officiating. Burial will follow at Christian Hill M.B. Church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-5 p.m. Friday, at Carter’s Funeral Services. Carter’s Funeral Services of Macon is in charge of arrangements. 

Mr. Young was born Aug. 1, 2007, in Noxubee County, to Eddie Young and Adria Slaughter. He was a senior at Noxubee County High School and was formerly employed at Lowe’s. He was a member of Christian Hill M.B. Church. 

He was preceded in death by his step-sister, Brianna Franklin. 

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his children, Na’Kaious and Na’SSiah Doss, both of Starkville; siblings, Ah’Zada Slaughter, LeKarion Lovelace, both of Brooksville, Nevaeh Young of Columbus, Javaious Tate, Jaquavis Gray, Cayden Young, all of Starkville, Brendell Franklin Jr., Christopher Glenn, Cheyenne Franklin, Stori Franklin, all of Macon and Bresha Franklin of Birmingham, Alabama. 

Pallbearers will be Danny Moore Jr., Jeremiah Jackson, Tyrek Richardson, Kikwon Cork, James Brownlee, Jermell Bibbs and Travis Bell.
