NOXUBEE COUNTY — Ernest Edward Martin, 65, died Feb. 6, 2026, at his residence.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, at Springhill M.B. Church in Macon, with Montreal Rucker officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation is from 2-5 p.m. Friday at Carter’s Funeral Services. Carter’s Funeral Services of Macon is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Martin was born Feb. 16, 1960, in Noxubee County, to the late James C. Martin Sr. and Ruth L. Martin. He was a member of Springhill M.B. Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Charlotte Gilbert and Minevra Martin.

He is survived by his children, Nissan Martin of Columbus, Ohio, Ernest Martin Jr. of Jackson, and Keirra Davis of Columbus; siblings, Gary Lasley, James Martin Jr., Sandra Martin, Francile Martin, Karen Martin, Pattie Martin, Kevin Martin and Lance Martin; and seven grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Darold Mitchell, Shannon Rupert, Joe Rupert, Dexter Blue, Stacy Mitchell and Tyrone Rupert.
