BROOKSVILLE — Emanuel “Jap” Mallard Jr., 66, died Nov. 19, 2025, at his residence. 

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, at Mount Samuel M.B. Church, with Terry Franklin officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-5 p.m. Friday, at Carter’s Funeral Services. Carter’s Funeral Services of Macon is in charge of arrangements. 

Mr. Mallard was born April 1, 1959, in Noxubee County, to the late Emanuel Mallard Sr. and Bessie Mae Mallard. 

He is survived by his siblings, Dorothy Mallard, Catherine Mallard, Angie Neal, Tony Mallard Sr., all of Brooksville, Mary Smith of Demopolis, Alabama, Velma McCaa of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, James Mallard and Willie C. Mallard, both of Jackson. 

Pallbearers will be Troy Neal Sr., Tirrell Neaal, Kearery Odeneal, Tony Neal Sr., Tony Mallard, Calvin McCaa, Timothy McCaa and Demetrius McCaa.
