HOMOSASSA, Fla. — Eleanor G. Comeau, 77, died Jan. 22, 2026, at HCA Florida Oak Hill Hospital in Brooksville, Florida. 

A celebration of life will be held at Lowndes Funeral Home. Lowndes Funeral Home of Columbus is in charge of arrangements. 

Mrs. Comeau was born Jan. 26, 1948, in Isola, to the late William “Ed” and Grace Naron Peacock. She was formerly employed as a realtor. 

She is survived by her husband, Timothy Comeau; children, Toni Lawrence of Homosassa, Cecelia Nelson of Sanford, North Carolina, Loria McCrimmon of Millport, Alabama, Mathew Cameau of Brownsville, Maine, and Amy Madoro of Vernon, Alabama; sisters, Betty Garrison and Nancy Shelton, both of Columbus; 13 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
