Edna Carley, 89, of Columbus, MS, passed away Monday, July 21, 2025, at her residence.

Visitation will be Saturday, July 26, 2025, from 2:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Funeral Service will be Saturday, July 26, 2025, at 3:00 P.M. at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS.

Ms. Carley was born January 24, 1936, in Reform, Alabama, to the late Ella Lee Jaynes Barnes and Leo McDaniel.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Carley is preceded in death by her son, Scott Carley; grandson, Legend Carley; stepmother, Jewell McDaniel; grandparents, Joshua C. (Leona) Jaynes and Burl W. (Alice) McDaniel; and one sister, Loretta Moore.

Ms. Carley is survived by her two sons, Alan (Lisa) Carley and Bobby (Cheryl) Wright; daughter, Kay Carley; grandchildren, Jeremy (Melissa) Swain, Lindsey Carley, Scottie (Marah) Carley; four great- grandchildren; two sisters, Carolyn (Jimmy) Allman and Odenia (Jim) Miller; and daughter-in-law, Tiffany Smith.
