SULLIGENT, Ala. — Eddie R. Scott, 64, died Oct. 27, 2025, at his residence. 

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, at Otts Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Webb Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home. Otts Funeral Home of Sulligent is in charge of arrangements. 

Mr. Scott was born Feb. 27, 1961, in Vernon, Alabama, to Annette Scott and the late Rabon Scott. He attended Detroit School and was formerly employed at Butler Trucking, Flowers Bread Co. and McCoy Manufacturing. He was a member of Shiloh North Church. 

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nell Duncan Scott; son, Justin Eddie Scott; and brothers, Jeffery Scott and Paul Scott. 

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sons, Davis Hudson of Hartseele, Alabama, and Benjamin Duncan Scott of Sulligent; daughters, Michelle Pope of Sulligent and Dusty Bennette of Greenwood Springs, Alabama; brother, Timmy Scott of Detroit, Alabama; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
