COLUMBUS — Easter Mae Fenton, 75, died June 24, 2025, at Windsor Place.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at Hopewell M.B. Church, with the Rev. Calvin Peoples officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens. Visitation is from 2-6 p.m. Tuesday at Carter’s Funeral Services. Carter’s Funeral Services of Columbus is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Fenton was born July 15, 1949, in Brooksville, to the late Ephris Shelton and Hattie Brooks Shelton Temple. She was formerly employed as a cook at the Columbus Club and was a member of Union Chapel M.B. Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Fenton; children, Tina Jones; and siblings, J.C. Shelton, Cream Ester Billups, Edna Flood,  Yvonne Johnson, Lucy McGregory and Roberta Shelton.

She is survived by her children, Nicole Hobbs of Jackson and Robin Fenton of Columbus; siblings, Dorothy Lowe of Caledonia, Henry Shelton and Ephris Shelton Jr. of Indianapolis, Indiana, Van T. Shelton of Columbus, and Andre Shelton of Jackson, MS; and five grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Tony Prowell, Christrian Hobbs, Emond Flood, Malachi Porter, Kashaun Davis, Tavion Lowe and Andre Shelton Jr.
