MILLPORT, Ala. — Douglas Edward “Eddie” Funderburk, 77, died Aug. 17, 2025. 

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, at Dowdle Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Friendship Free Will Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Dowdle Funeral Home of Millport is in charge of arrangements. 

Mr. Funderburk was born Feb. 15, 1948, to the late Davis and Louis Ford Funderburk. He was formerly employed as a carpenter. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Billy Funderburk; and sisters, June Hooper and Joyce Taylor. 

He is survived by his children, Amy Shaw, Trinity Wyers, Shaw Funderburk, Tonya Flathers and Ronda Stokes;  siblings, Carolyn Lowery, Darrell Funerburk, Rita Balchus and Larry Funderburk; 12 grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.  

Pallbearers will be Kyle Shaw, Karden Shaw, Matt Funderburk, Greg Lowery, Aden Tucker and Alston Tucker.
