STARKVILLE — Dosie Mae Suell, 83, died Jan. 28, 2026, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle. 

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, at Hairston and Hairston Funeral Home, with the Rev. Adbural Lee officiating. Burial will follow at Robinson Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-5 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home. Hairston and Hairston Funeral Home of Starkville is in charge of arrangements. 

Mrs. Suell was born June 18, 1942, in Starkville, to the late Virge and Mary Ellen Suell. She was formerly employed as head cook at Sigma Chi Fraternity of Mississippi State University. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Aaron Edwards; and siblings, James Suell, Chattie Beatrice Deloach, Richard Suell, Elder Robert Suell, Henry Amos Suell, William Suell, Annie Myrtle Evans and Artie Mae Sinkfield. 

She is survived by her daughter, Anita Suell of Starkville; brothers, Rev. Timothy Bush and Barryl Bush, both of Starkville;  three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
