WEST POINT — Dorothy Ann Shaw, 69, died Aug. 29, 2025, at St. Dominic’s Hospital in Jackson.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, at Northside Christian Church, with Orlando R. Richmond Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at West Point Memorial Gardens. Visitation is from 4-5 p.m. Friday at Carter’s Mortuary Services Chapel. Carter’s Mortuary Services of West Point is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Shaw was born July 4, 1956, in West Point, to the late J.T. Haughton Sr. and Annie Clara House. She was formerly employed as a childcare provider.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, J.T. Haughton Jr.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas Shaw; children, Cedric Shaw Sr., Christopher Shaw, Kimmie Shaw-Gunn, Portia Shaw-East, Nikki Shaw-Mays and  Tamara Shaw-Chandler; siblings, James A. Haughton and Don L. Haughton, Mary Gibson, Catherine Haughton, Alma Haughton, Bessie Haughton, Roberta Haughton and Susie Calvert; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
