COLUMBUS — Dorothy Sanders “Dottie” Nelson, 103, died Jan. 19, 2026, at Trinity Place Retirement Community. 

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, at First Methodist Church. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, at Greenwood Cemetery in Montgomery, Alabama. Visitation will be one hour prior to services Thursday at the church. Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory of Columbus is in charge of arrangements.
