WEST POINT — Doris Shaffer, 82, died Dec. 5, 2025, at Starkville Manor in Starkville. 

There will be no services at this time. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements. 

Mrs. Shaffer was born Sept. 20, 1943, in Chickasaw County, to the late Bob and Cassie Ware Criddle. She was formerly employed as a waitress. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Maggie Ellis and Grances Garnett; and brother, Jimmy Criddle. 

She is survived by her sons, Kim Shaffer of Sturgis and Randy Shaffer of West Point; and sister, Peggy Starnes of West Point.
