Donald Bluitt

COLUMBUS — Donald “Don” “Duck” Bluitt, 58, died Jan. 4, 2026, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, at New Beginning Full Gospel Baptist Church, with Jerome Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens. Visitation is from 2-6 p.m. Friday at Carter’s Funeral Services. Carter’s Funeral Services of Columbus is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Bluitt was born June 29, 1967, in Columbus, to the late Gentle Lee Bluitt Sr. and Fannie Petty. He was a 1985 graduate of Caldwell High School and was a veteran of the United States Army. He was self-employed as an electrician.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Sallie Bluitt Lavender, Gentle Lee Bluitt Jr. and Tom Bluitt.
He is survived by his children, Kiera Gregory of Atlanta, Georgia and Renee Misaalefua; siblings, Willie Pearl Bluitt, Kenneth Bluitt, Perry Bluitt and Anthony Bluitt, all of Columbus, and Jerry Bluitt of West Point; and one grandchild.
