BROOKSVILLE — Dominique Lamar Buckhalter, 35, died April 6, 2026, in Brooksville.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, at Christian Hill M.B. Church, with Alvin Bernard Bowen officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation is from 2-5 p.m. Friday at Carter’s Funeral Services. Carter’s Funeral Services of Macon is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Buckhalter was born Jan. 2, 1991, in Columbus, to James Buckhalter and Phyllis Hopkins. He was a 2010 graduate of Columbus High School.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his siblings, Christopher Hopkins and Annysha Alcaraz-Buckhalter.

Pallbearers are Johnny Buckhalter, Jamarri Buckhalter, Darren Buckhalter, Michael Buckhalter, Brandon Sanders, Kevin Hubbard and Travis Buckhalter.
