NOXUBEE COUNTY — Derrick Bernard Wallace, 42, died Dec. 19, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, at Springhill M.B. Church in Macon, with Montreal Rucker officiating. Burial will follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery. Visitation is from 2-5 p.m. Friday at Carter’s Funeral Services. Carter’s Funeral Services of Macon is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Wallace was born Feb. 16, 1983, in Noxubee County, to John Rucker and Mary Wallace. He was a member of Belmont M.B. Church.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Erica Pope of Brooksville; daughters, Emersyn and Emery Wallace, both of Brooksville; and siblings, Tierrie Wallace of Macon and Sophia Murry Barnes of Nashville, Tennessee.
