STARKVILLE — Derrick Lamar Scott, 44, died Aug. 27, 2025. 

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, at House of Life Freedom Ministry. Visitation will be from 3-6 p.m. Friday, at West Memorial Funeral Home. West Memorial Funeral Home of Starkville is in charge of arrangements. 

He is survived by his daughter, Tyonnia Scott; sons, Jiderrius Scott, Jaquavian Scott of Starkville and Zion Moore of Tennessee; brothers, Vincent L. Scott Jr. of Ohio, Patrick Scott of Indiana, Anthony Scott of Minnesota, James Isaacs of South Carolina, Stanley Isaacs of Texas; sisters, Rochelle Scott-Mundy of Indiana, Tawanda Isaacs of Missouri, TaMar Michelle Rich of Illinois, Triveta A. Scott  and  Lashandra D. Scott; mother, Mary A. Scott-Sampson.
