NOXUBEE COUNTY — Demetris “AL” Montrell Harris Jr., 23, died May 29, 2024, at Noxubee General Hospital-Macon.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, at Tabernacle M.B. Church in Macon, with Edward Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Hall Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-5 p.m. Friday, at Carter’s Funeral Services. Carter’s Funeral Services of Macon is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Harris was born April 5, 2001, in Noxubee County, to Demetris Harris Sr. and Sandra Rupert. He was a graduate of  Noxubee County High School and was formerly employed by McDonalds and Peco Foods. He was a member of Tabernacle M.B. Church. 

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his son, Karter Harris of Columbus; and siblings, Kedron Cheatham and Tyquintin Ramsey, both of Macon. 

Pallbearers will be Johnathan Slaughter, Reggie McCloud, Douglas King Jr., Donshay Robinson, De’Andra Bland and Lashawn Sanders.
