MACON — Debra Annette Rice, 67, died March 29, 2026, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at Tabernacle M.B. Church, with Edward Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery. Visitation is from 1-5 p.m. Tuesday at Carter’s Funeral Service. Carter’s Funeral Services of Macon is in charge of arrangements.

Ms. Rice was born March 6, 1959, in Macon, to the late Eddie Rice and Annie B. Rice. She was a graduate of Noxubee High School and Mary Holmes Junior College. She was formerly employed with Peco Foods and a member of Tabernacle M.B. Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Jessie Ruth Jackson and Charles Robertson.

She is survived by her children, Fronterro Rice of Beach Park, Illinois, and Alex Rice of Memphis, Tennessee; siblings, Excel Robertson of Waukegan, Cartez Bonner of Memphis, Judy Rice Keener of Wadsworth, Mary Spencer and Kathryn Hawthorne, both of North Chicago, and Virginia Mays of Zion; and three grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Cartez Bonner, Marvin Cockrell, John Goodwin, Shelmar Mays, Lloyd Spencer, the Rev. Nick Taylor and Malcolm Williams.
