MANTACHIE — Debra Jean Higgins, 65, died Feb. 13, 2026, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. 

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, at Otts Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Wofford Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Otts Funeral Home of Sulligent, Alabama, is in charge of arrangements. 

Mrs. Higgins was born July 29, 1960, in Sulligent, to the late Cecil Dozier and Tollie Johnson McCullar. She attended Amory School District and was a graduate of Creations cosmetology school. She was formerly employed at McCullar Grocery Store, as  owner of a salon, at a furniture store and as a school bus driver. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Randy Abbott. 

She is survived by her daughters, Alisha Britt of Pontotoc and Amanda Caldwell of Mantachie; brother, Michail Abbott of Hamilton; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
