WEST POINT — DaShun Cortez “Pooh” Swift, 47, died March 4, 2026, at his residence.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, at Mt. Zion M.B. Church, with the Rev. Sam Lowery officiating. Visitation will be from 3-4 p.m. Saturday at Carter’s Mortuary Services. Carter’s Mortuary Services of West Point is in charge of arrangements

Mr. Swift was born Aug. 2, 1978, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Stanley Warren and Dorthy Ann Swift.

He is survived by his daughters, Kierra Foard and Ashley Rice; siblings, Tim Love, Dustin Love, Latrice Swift and Lena Swift; and two grandchildren.
