SULLIGENT, Ala. — Daniel Franks, 90, died July 26, 2025, at his residence.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday, at Freewill Baptist Church, with Arnold Sheets and Jerry White officiating. Burial will follow at Wofford Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, at the church. Otts Funeral Home of Sulligent is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Fanks was born Sept. 11, 1934, in Guin, Alabama, to the late Roy D. Franks and Ozi Gann. He was a graduate of Lamar County Schools and was formerly employed as a forklift driver in the shipping department of Chromalox. He was a member of Freewill Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Audine Stivener Franks; and seven sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Sue Franks; daughter, Reba Cantrell of Sulligent; step-daughter, Natalie Elins of Moundville, Alabama; step-son, Matthew Myers of Russelville, Arkansas; two grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren.
