VERNON, Ala. — Charles “Chuck” Preston White Sr., 59, died Feb. 21, 2026, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle. 

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, at Dowdle Funeral Home, with James Godsey officiating. Burial will follow at Furnace Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Dowdle Funeral Home of Millport, Alabama, is in charge of arrangements. 

Mr. White was born Dec. 24, 1966, to the late Larry and Marie White. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Steve Smith, Kenny White and Dale Smith. 

He is survived by his  spouse, Charlon Harrison; daughters, Wendy White and Gracie Avery; sons, Charles Preston White, Steven White and Chaseton Harrison; 14 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. 

Pallbearers will be Bryant Hollis, Scott Westbrook, Erice Smith, Jeremy White, Cory Whitford and Matt Spann.
