EUTAW, Ala. — Charles F. Swanson, 95, died Dec. 30, 2025, at Mississippi State Veterans Home in Kosciusko. 

Funeral services and burial will be held Jan. 20, 2026, in Attica, Indiana. Visitation was from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, at Cockrell Funeral Home. Cockrell Funeral Home of Macon is in charge of arrangements. 

Mr. Swanson was born Jan. 21, 1930, in Newton, Indiana, to the late Roy McCord and Glossie Emma Fink Swanson. He was a 1948 graduate of Montmorenci High School and Auctioneering school. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He was formerly employed as a farmer and as the owner of a used car dealership and a seed cleaning business. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Pat B. Swanson; son, Danny Swanson; daughter, Jeanette Susanne Swanson; and siblings,  Mary Jane Baer, Carolyn Snider and John Swanson. 

He is survived by his daughter, Sarah Robbins; sons, Bruce Swanson and Steve Swanson; Tom Swanson; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
