CRAWFORD — Charles Spearmon, 64, died Aug. 2, 2025, at his residence.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Pine Grove M.B. Church. Burial will follow at Sturdavent Cemetery. No visitation will be held. Hairston and Hairston Funeral Homes of Starkville is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Spearmon was born Apr. 24, 1961, in Starkville, to the late Richard Spearmon Sr. and Tinnie Mary Spearmon. He was a graduate of B.L. Moore High School and was self-employed in the carpentry and flower industries. He was a member of Pine Grove. M.B. Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Baby Charles Spearmon and A.C. Colvin.

He is survived by his fiancée, Girtha Lawrence; and siblings, Emma Brown, Dorothy Herron, Mary D. Harris, Annie Brown, Mary H. Brown, Carrie J. Mobley, Evelyn Pinder, Richard J. Spearmon, Azzie Spearmon, Arthur L. Colvin, Jimmy L. Colvin, Jessie L. Colvin, Pastor Johnny Spearmon and William R. Spearmon.
