Rev. Charles Ray Dampeer, 78, died Dec. 6, 2014, at Southern Magnolia Assisted Living in Iuka. Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at Memorial Funeral Home with Shawn Parker officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens. Visitation is one hour before service time at the funeral home. Rev. Dampeer was born in New Hebron on April 18, 1936, to the late Charleston and Tina Cliburn Dampeer. He was a member of First Baptist Church and formerly a Baptist minister. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marion Sims Dampeer. He is survived by his daughters, Marsha Cosby of Columbus and Cindy Bolin of Greenwood; son, Charlie Dampeer of Corinth; sister, Bobbie Cody of Silver Creek; brother, Kelly Dampeer of Roanoke, Virginia; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
