COLUMBUS — Cendie “Pokey” Will Hall, 85, died January 7, 2026, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, at Piney Grove M.B. Church, with Michael Reed officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. Friday, at Carter’s Funeral Services. Carter’s Funeral Services of Columbus is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Hall was born Aug. 12, 1940, in Columbus, to the late Henry Bailey and Ollie Mae Wilson Harris. She was formerly employed at Mississippi University for Women and Magnolia Manor. She was a member of Piney Grove M.B. Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughters, Bertha Moore and Dorothy Bailey; and siblings, Henry Bailey Jr., Freddie Bailey and Louisa Smith.
She is survived by her children, Linda Talley of Valdosta, Georgia, Gladys Harris, Diashon Bailey, both of Columbus and Yvette Jamison of Steens; sister, Bessie Prowell of Columbus; 18 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jarvis Boyd, Lavoris Smith, Jatarvious Wilkins, Dave Talley Jr., Justice Jamison, Chase Porter, Jeffery Smith, Dessie Prowell Jr., Marco Baker Jr. and Matthew Baker.
