COLUMBUS — Castella “Tute” Williams Young, 66, died Dec. 21, 2025, in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, at Charity Mission Full Gospel Baptist Church in Crawford, with Bobby L. McCarter Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at Concord Independent Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation is from 2-6 p.m. Friday at Carter’s Funeral Services. Carter’s Funeral Services of Columbus is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Young was born Feb. 21, 1959, in Columbus, to the late Andy Williams and Mary Bell Sanders Williams. She attended Plum Grove and New Hope schools and was formerly employed with McDonald’s. She was a member of Charity Mission Full Gospel Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Willie M. Oliver, Genora Oliver Abrams, Eliza Mae Williams Moore and Gloria Mae Williams Wells.

She is survived by her children, Tashmia Williams and Jaleen Young; siblings, Martha Taylor and Laura Lee Pippins; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Timothy Abrams, Anthony Eddins, Braxton Williams, Dominique Abrams, J’Lynn Topps, Anthony Vaughn, Jeremy Latham, Drederick Williams, Zavier Jones, Adrian Epps and Cedrick Latham.
