SULLIGENT, Ala. — Carolyn Ann Haynes, 81, died Aug. 19, 2025, at her residence. 

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, at Otts Funeral Home, with William Kirkman officiating. Burial will follow in the Gilmer Addition to Sulligent City Cemetery. Visitation was from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home. Otts Funeral Home of Sulligent is in charge of arrangements. 

Mrs. Haynes was born Jan. 12, 1944, in Lamar County, Alabama, to the late Walter Weeks and Mandy Lee Humbers Weeks. She attended Sulligent School and was formerly employed at McCoy Manufacturing and in the Sulligent High School lunchroom. She was a member of New Beginning Apostolic Church. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Haynes; and brother, Don Weeks. 

She is survived by her sons, Harold Haynes of Morris, Alabama, and David Haynes of Sulligent; daughter, Melinda Walker of Vernon, Alabama; brother, Douglas Weeks of Beaverton, Alabama; sisters, Mary Nell Perkins, Margaret Nolen, Marilyn Wilson, all of Sulligent,and Dean Loftis of Columbus; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. 

Pallbearers will be Butch Tucker, Rylan Tucker, Chris Turner, James Haynes, Chase Haynes and Brennan Sorrells.
