WEST POINT — Calvin L. Walker, 69, died Sept. 15, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, at West Point Civic Center, with Charles Davidson officiating. Burial will follow at Fountain Head Church Cemetery. Visitation is from 4-5 p.m. Thursday at Carter’s Mortuary Services. Carter’s Mortuary Services of West Point is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Walker was born Sept. 29, 1955, in Clay County, to Lizzie Walker and the late Elijah Walker. He was formerly employed as a heavy equipment operator for the City of West Point.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Willie B. Randle.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his son, Teriell Matthews; siblings, Nathaniel Walker, Andrew Dyson, Ricky Rush, Elijah Donald, Virginia Bush, Gloria Ramsey, Wanda Rush, Tolisia Rush, Isabella Donald and Ricky Donald; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
