C. S. Barton died Feb. 2, 2015, at OCH Regional Medical Center in Starkville. Services are 11 a.m. Friday at Welch Funeral Home with the Rev. Hal Selby officiating. Burial will follow at Wake Forest Cemetery. Visitation is 5-7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, Mr. Barton was a member of Adaton Baptist Church and Civil Air Patrol. He was formerly employed as an insurance salesman with Farm Bureau. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Thomas Michael Barton. He is survived by his wife, Rachel Bryant Barton of Starkville; sons, Rick Barton of Starkville, Mark Barton of Bethesda, Maryland, and Stephen Barton of Sterling Heights, Michigan; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
